Michele
Studio Coordinator
Michele dedicated her career to Parks and Recreation, where she spent years promoting healthy, active lifestyles and creating opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy the outdoors, recreation, and wellness. Her professional experience has reinforced her belief that movement is essential to both physical and mental well-being.
Growing up, many of Michele’s fondest memories were made outdoors through park district programs. Whether swimming at the beach and pool during the summer or ice skating in the winter, those experiences instilled a lifelong appreciation for outdoor recreation, and community.
Although she was a self-described late bloomer to the gym, fitness, and yoga world, Michele embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. She joined the gym in 2019 and completed her first Tough Mudder in 2022 as the second oldest member of her 20-person team.
In 2024, Michele discovered Reform Pilates and quickly found a new appreciation for mindful movement. Unlike her previous fitness experiences, Pilates has taught her the importance of discipline, precision, proper body alignment, and controlled movement. She continues to be inspired by how Pilates builds strength, improves balance and flexibility, and supports lifelong mobility— benefits that align perfectly with her career-long passion for helping people lead healthier, more active lives.
Michele earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Illinois University and is also an avid native plant gardener. When she’s not in the studio, you’ll often find her walking her malamutes along the shores of Lake Michigan or exploring local woodland trails.
Constance
Instructor
Constance has been practicing yoga for nearly two decades and has been teaching since 2011. She is a 200- and 500-hour certified yoga instructor through the Himalayan Institute and is currently completing the Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates Certification, expanding her expertise across mat, reformer, and apparatus training.
Originally discovering yoga in 2008 as a busy college student seeking balance, what began as a personal practice soon became a lifelong passion for mindful movement, breathwork, and relaxation. Today, she blends the principles of yoga and Pilates to create classes that build strength, improve mobility, and cultivate a deeper connection between body and mind.
Constance believes movement should leave you feeling both stronger and more at ease. Her classes emphasize intentional movement, breath awareness, and systematic relaxation. These practices have profoundly influenced her own life and continue to inspire her teaching. She hopes every student leaves class feeling grounded, refreshed, and empowered to carry that sense of balance beyond the studio.
Lauren
Instructor
Lauren’s group fitness journey began in 2019 when she started teaching WERQ, a high-energy, music-driven dance fitness class at Carthage College. Leading fun, energetic classes sparked her passion for helping others move, build confidence, and enjoy fitness.
As a lifelong athlete, Lauren has always appreciated the importance of staying active and living a healthy lifestyle. In 2020, she discovered indoor cycling and quickly fell in love with its motivating atmosphere, incredible music, and sense of community. Realizing it was more than just a workout, she earned her NASM/ AFAA Indoor Cycling Certification and has been teaching since 2024.
Lauren believes fitness should be both effective and enjoyable. Her goal is to create classes where participants can challenge themselves, build strength, boost endurance, and leave feeling energized-all while having a great time.
